Join us on hands on two day course covering the full syllabus of operations level.

After an awareness level classroom orientation, students will join in and participate in real time on rope training, in staging and in rigging rope rescue operations tasks.

Skills covered will include:
- Learn all prerequisite knots
- Learn how to care, select and fit ppe.
- Construct single and multi-point anchor systems
- Operate belay and lowering systems in lowering and raising including a variety of haul systems
- Construct a fixed rope and ascend an descend with backup system
- Transfer from an edge to a vertical system
- Operate and participant in a BASKET lowering and raising system in a low angle slope

All technical equipment is supplied for use, as well as individual PPE helmet and full body class three NFPA harness

Each day runs from 8am to 4pm.

Location:

Meet at Swift Response for day 1.  Hands on training on day 2 will take place at the Bluffs, Lake Ontario in Whitby.

Prerequisite:

Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Instructor:

Swift Response instructors are made up of experienced military, fire, and veteran rescuers who know the ins and outs of proper rescue procedures and techniques, providing real world training for real life situations. Safety is our top priority.

Certification:

Swift Response certification confirming completion and demonstration of the skills as per NFPA standards.
