About the First Responder Program:

The First Responder course is ideal for first responders such as firefighters, police, Lifeguards and workplace responders. This course provides the skills and knowledge to help sustain life, minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness, and reduce pain in an emergency situation. 

Included in this course is BLS (Basic Life Support) and AED. 

Prerequisites   

We recommend you have strong Standard First Aid Skills prior to taking this program.

Completion

100% attendance, skills demonstration, two evaluated scenarios, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam

Certification   

3-year certification in First Responder, 1 year certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the Canadian Red Cross.
