About the Wilderness First Responder Course:

The Wilderness First Responder program is an immersive 80 hour program built for rescuers who specialize in decision making, extrication, and transport in remote and wilderness settings. This program teaches you leadership skills, decision making in non-traditional environments, and the skills to respond and provide care in a remote setting. Wilderness First Responders are trained to provide care overnight, and up to a few days, as well as evacuation.

Included in this course is BLS (Basic Life Support) and AED.

Completion

100% attendance, skills demonstration, two evaluated scenarios, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam

Certification

3-year certification in Wilderness First Responder, 1-year certification in BLS and AED, from the Canadian Red Cross
