About the Emergency First Aid and CPR Course:
This is a basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Emergency First Aid is usually for people that work for small organizations or work on their own (like a security guard would).
If you are not sure if this is the right course for you, please speak to your employer to confirm before registering. It is possible you may require the Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C program instead.
Successful completion of this course provides a 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED

Make sure you are choosing the right course!
Before registering, be sure to check your industry/employer requirements.
They will likely say specifically that you need “Standard First Aid” or they may just say “First Aid and CPR Training”. It is best to clarify exactly which course they require, as “First Aid and CPR training” could mean Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C, or it could mean Emergency First Aid training.
Typically for PSWs, child care workers, or if you are working for a large company, you will need the full Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C program. This is the course that most people need for work.
If you typically work on your own (for example, if you are a security guard) you may only need Emergency First Aid.
